BI Cares Foundation and Guiding Eyes for the Blind
|
![]() |
The Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation (BI Cares) is partnering with Guiding Eyes for the Blind on a #GivingTuesday campaign to support the first eight weeks of life of puppies bred to be guide dogs. Our goal is to support the development of up to five puppies with a maximum donation of $11,000. Minimally, BI Cares will donate $5,000 to Guiding Eyes for the Blind at the end of the campaign.
Together we can help individuals with vision loss due to chronic illness by supporting new puppies to become guide dogs!
How It Works
From Tuesday, Nov. 7 through Tuesday, Nov. 28, BI Cares will donate $10 to Guiding Eyes for the Blind for every Facebook and Twitter post consisting of a photo of you or a loved one with an animal you care about, along with the hashtag #BIgives. (For Facebook only, please make your post “public” in the dropdown box under your name so we can count it toward our donation.)
Multiple posts per person and/or animal are not only allowed, but encouraged to help us meet our goal!
Please join us in posting your photos to celebrate #GivingTuesday and the bond between people and animals that positively affects the health and well-being of both.

About Guiding Eyes for the Blind
Guiding Eyes for the Blind is dedicated to creating and supporting life-changing connections between people and dogs. We are a nonprofit organization that provides superbly bred and trained dogs to people who are blind or visually impaired. As an accredited member of the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF), we’re proud to be part of the mission to improve and uphold worldwide standards for the breeding and training of guide dogs. We also partner with other organizations to ensure that exceptional dogs that are not suited to guide work may become service or detection dogs, working to further our individual and collective health and safety.
